Nc30 fuel breather routing? Charging question?
Hi,
Putting the nc30 back together, asking regarding the routing of one of the 3 hoses coming from the t piece for the breathers on the left side of the bike. Top goes up to the fuel tank breather, bottom goes down beside engine..where does the side one go? Can't see for the life of me! Cheers.
Also...battery is sitting at 9-11v bike switched off...climbs slowly as bike is running. Am I right in saying my battery is buggered? I've looked at the FAQ for diagnosing problems but nothing about differentiating between battery dead and alternater/rr problems? Thanks!

Brilliant! Thanks. Do you know why there are two?:-p seems silly when they both go to the same place!

I also have the same question. It doesnt make sense that there are two. At first I thought the t piece would prevent accidental siphoning of the fuel if a surge happened because it would draw air at the t piece and the syphon would lose strength. But the pickup in the tank does not sit in the fuel so this doesn't make sense. Would love to hear what the logic is

Perhaps to prevent siphoning if bike fell over on its right hand side?
There is a one way valve on the top of the tank though.

I can only guess (and this is after a long day of work so my brains pretty shitty at the moment).. fuel vapour might condense in the pipe down the bottom end and perhaps could cause some kind of vaccum which would stop the breather working right cutting off the fuel flow.arsey30 wrote:Perhaps to prevent siphoning if bike fell over on its left hand side?

Something like that I guess.
