Rocker cover bolts (torque and order)

Post by lukeinorbit »

Thought i'd ask the pro's! What torque and order do the bolts have to be set at? I've replaced gasket and also thinking of having the head of to clean the ports but having trouble finding head gasket online...

Cheers!

Is this just the rocker cover ? Have a look in the "Document Library" the link is at the very top of this page. There's a setup guide there with torque settings in.
There are gaskets on ebay, I bought a set which is expensive but if youre doing the top end you need some of the other stuff too.

Oh - you torque up in a cross pattern from the middle out. Do them up 1/2 to 3/4 first then finish them off.

OK - the FZR600R Maintenance Specifications (page 12) and page 39 of the 3TJ2 Service Manual give the info as
Cylinder Head Cover Bolts - M6 - 8No - 10Nm

These doc are here http://www.400greybike.com/docs.htm

They don't list a sequence so as I say just use a cross pattern, and tourque them 3/4 then full torque, it's quite a light setting.
