This is possible. Has been done before. Don't forget an NC35 rider seat and pillion seat and also the two lower bolts to get the right fittings for the rear seat panels to the subframe sides. These bolts are NC35 specific.

Re: Rvf tail on an nc30?
Ok, the reason I ask is this. I have a vfr with a weird aftermarket fairing kit. The whole thing bolts off as three sections. As you can see from the photos even tho it's a vfr it has the nc35 rear tail. I'm not sure but I don't think that the subframe has been changed from the standard nc30 one so wondering if it's a rvf lookalike that fits an nc30 subframe. Is there any visual differences between the two subframes so I can tell what's been done before I bought it? The tail unit is one complete mould rather than two side panels which makes it fun to take on and off. Also the screen is an rvf one, rather than a vfr screen.

It's a complete aftermarket rvf bodykit, probably fibreglass. Several different companies make this type of street (light cut outs etc) bodywork, including Tyga.
The rvf tail fairings can easily be made to fit vfr subframe, but you'll need an rvf subframe if you want to mount it correctly! Hard to tell from the pics but my bet it that you have the standard vfr subframe, it doesn't matter too much as long as the fairings are mounted securely.

Re: Rvf tail on an nc30?
Yeah, it's all secured nice and tight. It's like it's meant to fit really other than the slight difficulty of removing the tail section. Just a little curious what's been swapped or changed to fit these fairings as I might stick some standard ones back on at some point. I think the front fairing bracket that goes up to the wing mirrors has been changed as the mirrors sit lower than standard.

Re: Rvf tail on an nc30?
The RVF and VFR mounting holes are different. As well as the side holes, the biggest hassle is the seat pad mounting. The NC30 seat can't fit to the NC35 seat cowl and if you put an NC35 seat pad on, then the holes at the back to mount it solidly to the subframe won't fit because there are no threaded holes in the NC30 subframe there. So the solution is either fit an NC35 subframe too and then the problem is solved, or (obviously
) fit one of our NC35 style seat cowlings to the NC30. The necessary changes have been made including a seat support which goes across the subframe, mounting on the now redundant side positions on the NC30 subframe behind the rider. You can then bolt the seat cowling to the support and everything is held nice and firm. The only issue would be if the Mrs is bank rolling the project because she'll need to catch the bus as it is a one seater.

On the tail light, if you don't ind cutting the NC30 one, just cut the two mounts of the bottom corners and with our cowling it irs held by the top one and a slot in the under cowling. For a home made or stock NC35 plastic, you could do the same but glue the bottom edge in with silicone or similar.
