CB400 bar ends- random newbie issue

Post by Bigdave982 »

Hi
I recently picked up a CB400 for £200. After standing for almost two years I'm pleased to say she purrs like a kitten when running, best £200 I've spent!

I'm fitting heated grips and ACERBIS Dual Road hand guards, but first I need to remove the original chrome bar ends.
There a dome type and seem well attached.. :x

Can anyone tell me how they come off?
Are they threaded and need turning or am I missing something obvious?

Cheers, Dave

The original bar ends are weld and you have to drill the welds.I have never try it but i think that if you work with extra carefull you may do this. This welds are bellow from the bar ends, and you have to pull off the grips to have accese there.
Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for the reply..
I actually found this out yesterday when I took the bar ends off to fit my heated grips and hand guards.
Bit of a faff getting them out but I managed it.
I'll post some picks at some point of the hand guards if people are interested. There brilliant and with the grips my hands should stay nice and warm :0)
