First time in bloody ages I've been able to squeeze an hour in to work on the bike, so I fitted the new pads and PFM

Also got hold of a nice cheap lower race fairing, proper bargain too:

Going to strip the castrol decals off and get some vinyl to do a basic colour scheme on the race fairing but that will be revealed in the coming weeks.

you'll need to bodge a lip on the tail of that tray - it has to hold half the fluids your bike can piss out if it blows up.
your brace will be posted over the weekend too..

More boxes coming through the post:
This is now the 5th set of carbs I own:

But these had something a bit special inside them:

Yes HRC style curved slides with 8zc needles, will go nicely in the HRC carbs when I eventually get round to doing them.
Also got this nice little number in from japan:

Going to run the catch tank F3 style with the breather hose coming out the back of the seat unit.

Nice,
where did you get the catch tank from? How big is it?

Got it from Webike japan, cost me a few quid and i got stung by customs too, but its a nice bit of kit. Its 506cc and should fit nicely under the bracing on the subframe.

Re: Kierans type one resto with a few fancy bits.
So I've got a little more done on the bike over the last week as usual pictures are better than words:
Dremel'd the undertray to fit the catch tank.

Still not perfect and it isn't quite going to sit right with a hole cut out of the undertray. So I think I'm going to just chop it properly and find a way of attaching the number plate at another time.
Got hold of some nice rearsets and a seat unit, cheers Dave.

Finished modding my sprocket cover and got It fitted:

Some nice SES clip ons from eBay, nice little weight saving over the standard bars:

Removed the noise baffle from one of my spare engine casings, only about 200g saved but worth it nonetheless:

Little picture of her wheeled out into the day light:

Why you want a number plate on it i thought this was your race bike? And get the hacksaw out on that rear subframe and HRC it :)

Yea this is the racebike mate, but i want to daylight MOT it so i can enjoy riding it when im too broke to race or trackday lol, too many good roads local to me to miss out on too.
Cutting the subframe is planned for another day when ive got a bit more spare time, last i remember taking the bloody undertray off was a proper fiddly old job so it might have to wait a whole week before i get a chance to get back to the garage.

Re: Kierans type one resto with a few fancy bits.
So I've chopped down the undertray and subframe yesterday, not quite sure how I will attach the numberplate when I want to get it daylight moted but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Anyway a few pics:

Breather pipe for the catch tank is fouling the seat unit slightly so a bit of jiggery pokery and we should be sorted.
