My new HRC cap

Post by StrayAlien »

All,

I just wanted to show off. I got a new HRC cap and last night I was at the HRC dinner at Phillip Island and managed to get Case Stoner, Danny Pedrosa, and Marc Márquez to sign it.

As they say in these parts. "What an absolute bloody ripper"! Very happy. Would have been happy just with Casey, but with the other two, wow ..... a keeper. Niiiice. :-) :-)

Nice one, I was there for the few days, the weather stayed nice and it was a good weekend.

The mandatory pit change was interesting to watch.

"Interesting" is probably the right word. What a farce. Everybody else manages to get out there and go race distance.

Would it have happened anywhere else in the world except VIC I wonder?

I recall for the WSBK round there in Feb this year, the track was eating tyres - Pirelli had shipped the tyres before they all realised the surface was very abrasive.

I did two days on track there in early March and the 400 fared well, but the larger bikes ate tyres. So, after 10 months, that new surface is still eating tyres!

If I recall, the WSBK days this year were hot hot hot ... and they went full race distance.

Bridgestone have been napping.
