VFR400 engine specs

Post by BCURacing »

Hi all,

I am representing Birmingham City University and we are looking to possibly put in a VFR400 engine into our Formula Student car for the year ahead. I am trying to find out some specs before I can order anything however.

What we need is the weight of the engine and the basic dimensions and mounting locations. I have got a basic idea for the mounts from photos but they cannot tell me the full story.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Adam (BCURacing)

Not sure about the mounting locations you need but i recently weighed my engine and it was about 50kg without carbs.

service manuals in the download section, should answer most tech questions. sue somebody will take some pictures of mounting points.
