strange photo request

Post by doug »

Hi guys and girls,

As the title suggests I am after some photos of the front end of an NC29. In particular the wiring loom around clocks and lights without the fairing on. Also, I would like a photo of standard bars with standard equipment on taken along side a tape measure.

The reason for this bizzar request is not for some weird perversion, I am trying to convert my old track bike back to standard spec. As it was a track bike all the lights and ignition were removed and bodged together, so some pictures of how the loom is threaded around this area would be a great help.

As for the photo of the bars and the tape measure, I'm embarrassed to say I'm confused. The clip ons and levers look stock, the switch gear is stock on the R/H bar, the L/H switch is from a CBR900 '99 and both switch gears are located correctly with the tabs in the correct holes. So why isn't there room for the throttle and grip on either bar? I'm about 20mm too short!

I don't believe they have been cut down as the ends are nicely chamfered and the holes are present and correct for the inner weight snap ring.

Cheers in advance.

Doug

Ps. I do have some track bits and pieces that need a good home.

Hi doug, sorry no photos but hopefully a little help (or confusion), from memory as my bikes at home at the mo.

The left switch gear runs tween fork and headstock, held with a ziptie to the fork then goes to the rear of the light bracket and runs along forward, just where the little clips are, clip holders are the small circles on the headlight bracket. Then follows down to the plug socket on the left side under the side fairing but between the infill, as does the right switch on the other side but no fork ziptie, note the clip holder at the bottom front of the headlight bracket for another clip.

the main loom runs along the inner of mid fairing/infill and lies over the top of the headlights, clipped into place and down to the right indicator. The ignition runs along the headlight bracket and down to the inner of mid the fairing/infill and connects in the same connector as the switches.

fiche picture might help: http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cbr400rrr-nc ... ml#results

hope it helps a little

Cheers durka durka. I'll have a gander this weekend.

If you do get chance to take a few photos, it would be very much appreciated.

Doug
