China headlights warning

Post by lutorm »

Just in case anyone was contemplating: I needed a pair of headlights since I'm replacing my old Tyga fairing with stock style, so I ordered two of these: http://r.ebay.com/I96CFj. I've had decent success with ordering various china stuff, but these were pieces of shit: did not come with adjustment hardware (just two pieces of plastic), bulbs do not fit, and on one the front glass is loose and rattling around under the metal cover. Stay away.

So, speaking of headlights: anyone got any lying around? Preferably near California...

What bulbs are you trying in them? stock bulbs are H4R (low watt) so perhaps they are made to fit those.

Never had any luck with chinese bits though

No, I'm trying the stock low-wattage bulbs. The notches are cut right (about), but the diameter of the hole is slightly too small and the two inner protrusions that the bulb passes between are also too narrow.
