Re: TYGA Bodywork on NC30.... petrol tap?
Once again, working blind here, definitely need the rear tank mount, plus, the tank is sitting directly on the frame so I am assuming that there is supposed to be something under the tank seams to stop the thing rubbing and rattling on the frame spars.vic-vtrvfr wrote:I might have spares for some of the tank rubbers. What ones you need?
I'm not getting email notifications on any of my posts.....? what do I need to do so that I am notified?

I seem to be missing this tube...... no real surprise there...... where does it come from on the engine, assuming it is going to be somewhere between the carbs and head?tigerclaw wrote:Just to be clear (cos I just put my tank back on my bike), the NC30 has a manual tap, but the manual tap also has a vacuum pipe that attaches to it. A number of people have had hassles where they did not attach the vacuum pipe. Secondly, there has also been discussion around whether or not you should ever close the NC30 tap because of the vacuum pipe (assumming no one has opened the tap and removed /overridden your vacuum portion) - conclusion was it was just good practice to do so.

Stand on the right hand side of the bike and look at the motor side on. In front of you should be a collection of connector blocks for the ignition/rhs switch gear etc behind them you'll have one cycling we pointing forward and one back. If you look up towards the carbs on the rear cylinder you should see a brass nipple coming out of the engine block with the hoses attached.

Re: TYGA Bodywork on NC30.... petrol tap?
Thanks, I'll get to that asap...... the bike is not at my house, it's at the Father-in-laws out in the country a bit.... I have run out of room here to work on any more stuff at my location.......... The product of having a Ducati 916, a RD350B, a RD250B, a Spondon TZ350G, a CBR125RR, a Norman B2S, 3 mini motos and a Husqvarna chainsaw..... well, its got an engine and revs like a NC30... LOL.... Took enough off it to keep me going for about 2 weeks here so I'll go and investigate that as soon as I can.
This comes as no surprise that I have another bit missing.... FFS..... Starting to understand why the previous owner stated "it does run I assure you, I just can't get it to go now" .... missing vacuum pipe, missing speed limiter from the clock with no mod or override to the ECU, butchered wiring loom, a blue 3 pin plug going somewhere to the front switchgear or clocks cut off....... You get the picture.....

Pretty sure i have spare front & rear tank rubbers but no spare sides. Theyre available from Rick Oliver & similar parts suppliers.
Also have a few spare looms, can serve as donors to replace/repair yours if required.

Would it be easier for someone to come to you with a bike so you can look over the two of them side by side and compare what's missing and talk to the owner about what's needed.
If so ill give you my number and we can sort something out.

That would be excellent if possible, probably better if you tell me what's missing instead of me trying to figure it out blind and always better to have a destination on a run with a goal. Thank you. I think Armoy is on this Sat and have already committed to that if you were thinking of that soon, otherwise any time suits.

Before you buy any tank rubbers check with tyga themselves or gavin at Jap4performance to see if they are needed because I remember earlier seat units just had the tank sit on the sub frame with no rubbers as there was a nylon block used to jack the back of the tank up.
Because it sat higher the sides of the tank where no where near the frame so again no mounts are neede but I think it still used the front mounting rubber.

Ok, more research needed or find a member with the same setup, I can make anything needed.
Comes back to the idiot who had this last, he has lost all the fittings for the kit before it got to me..... If Tyga sell a kit that would solve that, but still have to work out what is missing as the tank is sitting directly on the frame at the head stock as well as the sides and the seat unit is also currently just sitting directly on the Tyga subframe.
