Iv been rebuilding my carbs this last weekend but when i come to remove the main jets the tubes are stuck fast.
I tried a bit of force but i dont want to break them!
Anyone got any tips on separating them?

Put the jet into a vice and undo the emulsion tube with a 7mm spanner

Re: Emulsion tubes stuck to main jets.
All done thanks!
Part of the problem was that i had no idea where the tube and the jet separated!
Iv never rebuild a set of carbs befor and in all the pictures iv seen none of them showed the tube separate from the jet!

Oh dear, did you read cammos carb guide? The big sticky thread about rebuilding vfr carbs? It's got all the information you need in it and is the best guide to get carbs setup right.RandomDan wrote:All done thanks!

The first page has this.

Remove jet
Then directly below it

pictures of the front and rear emulsion tubes incase you mix them up.

Re: Emulsion tubes stuck to main jets.
I have indeed read it several times now but untill this very moment i hadnt noticed it was the tube with no jet in the end of it
To me it just looked like the assembly of the two!
The jets were still stuck mind you but i had a nice deep 7mm socket that held the tube nicely.
I like to think that silly things like this add to the fun of learning xD
