MSV
I am using the standard pistons with new rings. I have access to some pretty decent metrology kit and the pistons are almost factory sepec when measured - this I don't understand considering he condition of the bores.
I did some school boys maths regarding rebore, +.5 pistons and rings and it was substantially cheaper to go the resleeving route with the existing pistons + a lot more fun.
I will try to keep you posted but I am crap at documenting stuff.

Re: Won't start
So its time to start working on the plastics so I bought some of that Plastech stuff and looked for the Dremel. Remembered lending it to some one but can't remember who so bought a new one all to be delivered on Monday courtesy of Amazon.
Over the weekend I have turned my mind to spraying which was appropriate as some kind chav decided to help me alter the look of my Triumph Sprint and my shoulder, back, ribs and leg ( nothing broken) and then kindly disappeared. So I also need to work out the paint codes for the Triumph as well.
Any advice on the colour titles and codes for the 3TJ2 or where I should look.

Re: Won't start
Monday sees the arrival of the honed re sleeved barrels so its time to crack on again. Been working on the plastics and using that Plastech stuff. It's amazing when you get the hang of it. I need to get this project moving as things have slowed right up. Two broken ribs, courtesy of Mr Chav, aren't helping.

It'll come back mate, broken rids are nasty, I've broken a couple before, and had one removed last year when i had me back/spinal operation. Just keep taking it easy ish.
I need to try this plastex stuff, or plastic welding, dunno yet, got a mates aprilia fairing to fix.
Cheers
Ian

Re: Won't start
I used the Plastech stuff and bought a small pack in case it didn't work out. I did the Yam bits, the Kwak bits and the triumph bits with what look looked an unfeasibley small amount of material. When you get the hang of the stuff its quick and simple to use. A Dremmel is a great help. Buy the bigger pack!

Plastex won't fix broken ribs.
