I'd like to replace the fairing and screen bolts so had a look at some 'kits' online. Obviously the ProBolt kits pop up a lot but I've heard some of their kits are a bad match for the bikes they're supposed to fit. Has anyone bought their NC30 kit and would you recommend it? Are they shouldered like the originals?
I'd like the genuine Honda bolts/washers but it doesn't seem possible to buy them online and my local Honda dealer told me they don't sell them in kits so I'd need to count how many of each I needed. being Honda, they'll also be very expensive, though the ProBolt ones are hardly cheap!
Any recommendations?

Re: Replacing bolts
the original honda fitment for screen wasnt bolt, more of a plastic rivet with metal collar.
As for fairing bolt, they can still be got from Honda, dont come in a kit format though, you just have to buy each one with the individual part number:

Re: Replacing bolts
Probolt kits are basically picked from parts bins to an approximation of the originals, and they are not shouldered. Neither are they particularly strong alloy either - not a problem you would think but surprisingly easy to strip threads, etc. Considering some of the costs of them, they are a fucking rip-off. Spoil your bike and buy originals, is my advise.

Re: Replacing bolts
Are you looking to change purely for cosmetics? I wouldn't bother unless you're hell bent on having titanium, anodized or some other stuff to make it look different. I replaced everything bar the screen screws on mty NC35 a few years back with genuine Honda fasteners because the ones on the bike were minging. Guess what, after a few years and couple of winters, it was £200 wasted!

Re: Replacing bolts
I got the screen bolts for my nc30 from halfauds, little ally dome heads and rubber nuts (oooeerr) think it was a fiver for a box full. Still good today after a good few years.

Re: Replacing bolts
I agree, the ProBolt kits are expensive and I would prefer the genuine Honda ones.
The screen bolts are very old so need replacing as they are showing corrosion. As for the fairings, most are fine, some on the underneath are showing corrosion, 2 from the rear just below the tail lights are missing, 2 are missing shoulders, 1 is almost rung and 1 is an ugly impostor some clown put in to replace a lost one :)
Thanks for all the advice, and thanks for that link hannakournikova!
