Re: 440 big bore increase
Ask Rick Oliver think he fitted one but you loose 1K in revs so its a slower revving engine due to the heavier weight of the pistons.

Re: 440 big bore increase
I think hoping for 70 hp at the wheel is even a bit optimistic.
Most of the gains are in the torque increase though, would love to sample one of these!
Pros: Torque!
Cons: Cost, complexity, engine longevity depending on expertise of work done.

Re: 440 big bore increase
Surely you should be getting more than 70bhp with that.?? With my standard nc with the flywheel off and ramair setup rite and exhaust system is reading 68bhp. My mates with the same setup seems in around the same on track pulling onto the straights.
Cammo i know from reading your posts you know your stuff, what sort of bhp you getting with these upgrades.?
Maybe our dyno man is playing games with us..lol

Re: 440 big bore increase
Is that at the wheel or at the crank, and how have they calculated it?
Some dynos can be very generous and depending on the calculations used can look even better, whats worse is that some dyno operaters even switch calcuations during the runs to make any work they have done look better.
I don't think I've ever seen an NC30 in standard trim (i.e exhaust only) make more than around 63hp.
After seeing at least 20 NC30's dynod in various forms I'd be amazed if your bike really has 68hp.

Re: 440 big bore increase
To be honest i'm not sure how it was calculated, what your saying does make sense.
I know from i went to the ram air setup you could really feel the difference, it just seemed to pull far better in the higher rpm.
It pulls away quite a bit from some of the other nc30s on the straights, ones running with standard filters and race systems anyway.
