HRC carb mesh

Post by 28hodge » Tue May 28, 2013 4:02 pm

I have never gotten round to placing a s/s mesh over my hrc open carbs, to be honest i had forgotten about it a bit until a re read an old post that i have bookmarked for another reason.

I've found this website and as always too many options has me confused.

I was going to go with the first mesh 10 type, think this will be ok?

Didn't tim use that mesh from halfords and is went rusty? Kurt i have the SS mesh on mine pretty much the same as in the link you posted, its a bitch to cut and leave a nice edge but its solid and does the job well.

EDIT: Here you go, i finished mine off with some electrical tape to stop it shreading my fingers

Yeah thats not the halfords stuff, its a really thin and light aluminium mesh,

I had the pleasure of meeting Tim and team at santa pod yesterday, they did good they only finished 1st and have a nice trophy to show for it and a snaped cam chain which gave way after the quarter mile!
