Hi every one
Have a problem with my nc30 when started it wont rev above 6000 rpm. seems to stick there then it will go all the way to full rpm it seems to hesitate at 6000 for split second then pass it when on road hot still same. seems to start ok tick over ok juts sticks at 6000 rpm have nc23 which will go to full rpm from tick over straight away. any thoughts welcome.

Re: vfr400 nc30 flat spot 6000 rpm
is the bike still speed restricted?
it could be this thats causing the problem,or if its been doctored with!!!!!
if its happening all the time then it could be a fueling issue, has it sat for any length of time making it possible for there to be a build up of shit in the carbs?
check the plugs, see what state they are in,and for any tell tale signs of running rich or lean.next time it happnes or is about to happen put the choke on and se if this clears it or makes it worse!!!!

Re: vfr400 nc30 flat spot 6000 rpm
i had this on my bike when i didnt have the restrictors fitted too, but when they went in the flat spot went away, i think it is fueling and experimenting with my mates nc30 with the original and a race can we think its this, the race can breathes a bit better but causes this flat spot from around 5-7k
i think the nc30 club do a jet kit that is for standard bike with end cans and it sorts this flat spot out

A lot of NC30's have a noticable flat spot around there, i'm not sure if it has adjustable carb needs, if it does move the washer down to the bottom if it's still in the middle, that'll richen up your mixture and hopefully cure the flatspot.
