NC24 Stator removal
Hi guys,
How do I get the NC24 stator our the crank case? And how do I get the actual crank case open? I don't see anymore bolts anywhere but it won't budge...
I've got schematics and as far as I can tell the stator should be loose...

Re: NC24 Stator removal
Erm.
The stator isnt in the crank case, the stator is in the flywheel case, and to get it out remove all the bolts around it (left hand side of engine)
The case is located on a couple of dowel pins so you have to pull it off level.. perhaps a few gentle taps with a rubber hammer to shock the case loose, as it is often stuck to the gasket.
After that you need to remove the 14mm bolt from the centre of the flywheel. (lock the flywheel and undo)
Once you have the flywheel bolt out you need to screw in an M20 x 1.5 bolt into the newly revealed larger hole to pop the flywheel off.
With the flywheel out you can unbolt the stator and remove it.
