Starting Problems
Almost finished my rebuild. Bike was starting fine, and now is not.
It went from running fine on all 4, then down to 3, and now wont start.
Battery is fully charged, and it is turning over fine.
Took out the rear plugs, and one is seemed quite damp.
Would soaking the plugs stop it from firing? What's the remedy?
Currently have them cleaned up, and sitting on top of my woodburning stove to try and dry them.

Hi, if you've been reving it up and not riding it or running it under load then the plugs get wet and die, you may get lucky and dry them out, but a blow torch will be better, and get the electrodes nearly glowing hot. But if not you'll prob need some new ones!

I don't have a blowtorch. Would a busen burner do the trick?

till the tip of the electrodes start to glow, thats usually hot enough! lol.

Hi, yeah just heat the electrode tips (the bit that sparks) you'll see the flame go yellow while its burning the fuel off, then keep flame on it till they just start to glow. Give them a good clean aswell when they've cooled down.
Make sure they spark before you put them back in, if they dont reaheat and clean them again and recheck, if they still dont spark then there dead and you'll need new ones.
