Have you already got 0.5mm shims under the needles then?

yeh there is a washer under each needle. Is it not standard for them to have a 0.5 mm washer?

Don't think so, I haven't got any under mine as Rick O recommended trying without first.

NC30 and 35 have a single 0.5 mm washer as standard.crighton7 wrote:Is it not standard for them to have a 0.5 mm washer?

Thought so as in the carb jetting guide on here says to raise from 0.5 to 1mm.

Re: NC30 lack of power above 7k revs
A quick update on my problem. Have now fitted 120/122 jets and lifted the needles by 1mm. It has helped but still not 100%. It still has a flat spot at around 6 to 7k revs but when you get past it it now pulls like it should and is a little flyer. Funny thing is if you open the throttle slowly it seems better and if you open her right up thats when the missfire/flatspot happens. HELP!!

Re: NC30 lack of power above 7k revs
really i thought if you had a flatspot like that it was because of lack of fuel. i followed the guide on here about drilling out the hole in the slide and raising the needle.
