Jap import though.
I presume the RC45 was restricted in the same way all the other 750's were, could cost a fortune to derestrict.

It is very nice..but would rather have an RC30.
Not sure I beleive the blurb about moving the cam gear to the ends of the motors rather than in the middle.
Anyone care to shed any knoweldge on this? Seems like a ballache retooling job to do it.
Do the RC36 VFR800 have a central gear drive?

That'll go for more than 10k... The rear-number plate holder looks too big for a Japanese bike though
oh DK, there only about 20 miles from me, might go have a look :D

The 45 motor is a new design nothing like the 30.CMSMJ1 wrote:It is very nice..but would rather have an RC30.

3 cam and 3 crank bearings, cam drive on end of crank with camshaft running straight in heads not 6 ball/roller bearings, as on the 30. 2 intermediate cam gears [cams run backwards]
Narrower stiffer crank.
Composite cylinder bore liners, 3 ring pistons.
The 800 engine is based on the 45s.
The bike was for sale at Stafford classic show, around £14,000 I think, it would be 77ps
They also had a Japanses 30 for £10,500, both bikes very original.
Dave.

Yes, the VRF750 RC24,RC30 and RC36 are central gear driven cams, RVF750 RC45 moved it to one side, VFR800 RC46 was based on the RC45 so also had them to one side.CMSMJ1 wrote:It is very nice..but would rather have an RC30.
