Hmmmmm a counter sunk hole might be the ticket... I'll run out to the garage and check!

Hmmm the eye is 3mm off by measuring as best as I could with digital verniers. Having the underside of the mount flat would give an additional clearance of about 3.5-3.7 mm. So me removing the bolt and maybe fitting a countersunk bolt may be an option...

You could grind the stock bolt off the mount and use a countersunk bolt on the stock mount, if it still doesn't clear i wouldn't be scared of shaving and reshaping the top of the BMW shock.

I know but I'm just an anal cunt! haha

I'll see how I get on and then post results when I get it done, must take out the engine etc now regardless so the whole day wasnt a waste of time!
