Need 4xNC24 float needle valves

Post by Fiddlestick »

Allo :)

Been having quite the time with things going wrong with the bike lately, what with the speedo cable snapping on the motorway at night (NOT fun *at all*) and the front forks needing re-oiled.

I only had it back a few days before I started having carb problems, eventually culminating in a strong smell of petrol one morning and the bike refusing to start.

It's been with the local spark for a few weeks and the inlet valve was initially replaced, but as the bike is old (almost 20 years) the valves in the carbs are worn and leaking through, so the needle valves from the bottom of the float chambers need replaced.

He hasn't had much luck getting these from his usual suppliers and doesn't have much time to spend looking online (he has other bikes to repair etc etc), so would anyone have an idea where I could get my grubby mitts on 4 of these? :)

Could be float heights need re-setting? How many miles as the bike done as i've not come across worn valve seats.

With regards to the part in question.

David Silver Spares will order it in from Honda.
