My Fzr400rrsp trackbike
Hi.
I've just bought a fzr400rrsp trackbike, its complete but very much work in progress. Amongst the jobs are removing the motor and getting one of the plug threads repaired. Previous owner cross threaded a plug! Doh.
It's running a total loss system, without a starter but the plan is to get the head repaired and go through it all reinstalling the starter to make it user friendly and do a few trackdays with it this year.
At some point in its life it seemed pretty quick coming second in the scottish championship apparently.

Good spec too
White power shock and forks and steering damper
Quill full stainless system
Ram air
radial master cylinder
quick action throttle
Alloy tank
Coerce rearsets
Tuned motor dyno'd at 74bhp
Anyone recognise it?
It has a 3tj 82305-72 cdi anyone know if that's a standard sp cdi?

Re: My Fzr400rrsp trackbike
Need a few nick nacks to tidy it up if anyone has got them.
I need the both radiator arm brackets either side
And the plastic/rubber lugs that slot into the frame near the headstock either side.
Starter motor complete
R/h switchgear
Cheers

Kris, how do you rate the build quality amongst ridability and character compared to the NC's?

Re: My Fzr400rrsp trackbike
Can't really comment on the ride as I've only done 20 miles on my 3tj7 compared to about 20000 miles on my nc's but build quality on the yam is really good I think comparable with the NC.The only thing that is noticeable is the build quality and finish of the nc30 motor is far better.
But I think the rrsp is far better looking, I really like them.
Time will tell on the ride.
