Removing the seat unit
Hi folks, just a quick one, I have unscrewed the four screws under the seat and the two bolts that hold the seat unit down but it still seems to be fixed somewhere near the back light. Is it actually fixed or is it just fairing lugs holding it? I don't want to pull it because it is a bit old and fragile, so I thought the sensible thing would be to ask someone that knows how it comes off . Thanks!

Re: Removing the seat unit
You will probably get some helpful advice if you say what model and year the bike is.
I have a 92 superfour 400 the seat is removed by inserting the key into the lock on the lefthand side panel and turning it to release the locking mechanism under the seat then simply raising the rear of the seat and pulling back towards the tail light.

Re: Removing the seat unit
All you have to do is to unscrew the 2 bolts that hold the tail light.
These 2 bolts are inside and at the back of the tail.
After you remove the tail light look at the top of the case of tail light.
You will see 2 more bolts there, that hold the fender and the tail.
