Nc29 exhaust modification
As you may know finding an aftermarket can for an nc29 3 bolt fitting on a budget is a bastard. I was wondering, when you repack an exhaust or shorten it etc, you have to remove the inlet and/or outlet yes? I know you have to drill the rivets out and rivet again but do you have to put any sealant of any kind on as well? Also, would it be possible to buy a 3 bolt can with the same meausurements as an nc29 one (but I find most 3 bolt cans are 2 bolts top and 1 bottom) take the end off and rotate it to suit?

And does anyone know of any bikes with the same exhaust diameter? Early/late fireblade 900? Srad 3 bolt? Ninja?

I may have an old can in the shed, can look for you, I take it standard NC29 end can bolt spacing is the same as NC23?

I got one similar to this for my rvf exhaust, decent quality and it can't get much cheaper:1308lee wrote:As you may know finding an aftermarket can for an nc29 3 bolt fitting on a budget is a bastard.

Re: Nc29 exhaust modification
I personally just cut off the 3bolt setup and had the pipe expanded a tad to accept a slip on
