H Luke.
I noticed your original post on this in the General section.
Have you contemplated using the SP 2TK Tci,it was unrestricted hence needing no feedback from the speedometer but will allow over revving on a 1Wg engine by about 1.5k so care would be needed.
Problems may also arise if your exup valve is retained as the plug fitting is different for the servo.
I believe Boris has commented on this replacement in the past and may advise further.

Two suitable units are currently available circa £40 on the usual auction site.

Hi, I've got a 2tk tci on me 3en1, i thought they all had them in a parts sharing stylee. The exup motors plugged in so i dunno how/if its been modded cos i thought it was all standard!
It says 2tk on the exhaust collector aswell!
Cheers
Ian

Ah well yes ... bit of history.
The Japanese didn't restrict bikes until 1988 so as the 2TK was built in 87 it has an unrestricted cdi

So would a 1986 Genesis CDI work on a 3EN2? I'm not bothered about the EXUP at all.Evilchicken0 wrote:Ah well yes ... bit of history.

Don't know, I think the 2TK was more than just an exup. You'd have to look and see if the ignition curves are similar, then check if the wires go in or come out in the same place.
I'd alone use a M Max
