Post by ireson75 » Fri Mar 01, 2013 9:14 pm

Hi all,

Is this please an original colour scheme? I believe it was a 1992 import...

Looks like type 8, but that isn't a factory job.

Looks like a Chinese fairing kit.

Is there any way to work out what colour it should be, other than maybe on the V5?

Or tell whether it is an original but painted?

Thanks for the help, Tom

On the undertray should be a code which tells you what scheme the bike came out of the factory. Not completely reliable mind, undertrays are changed quite easily.

i think its defo a chinese kit, none of the patterns align, and the red line from the tank doesnt carry through to the nose cone

It's also missing the 'hrc' decals and instead of blue on the front cowl the paint is black.

the vpiece is a real giveaway on chinese kits imho (in the instance where the kit is actually a good copy)

It is indeed.

No mention of it having a non-original fairing lol! :spank:
