CBR600RR brake upgrade

Post by Spike16 »

looking to upgrade my brakes and have been offered a wholt cbr600rr front brake system, calipers, mastercylinder pads and braided lines

would the braided lines fit on the nc30 or would i need new ones, ie is the nc30 longer or shorter than the cbr600rr front end?

i was offered them at £120, would this be a good deal?

Which year 600rr??

Non radial I would hope.

Seems a little bit pricy..but then it would be a bolt on and you are laughing. You need the adapter brackets form rick to mount them on the forks.

The lines themselves are fine - I run blade lines and they are a touch long but nothing a bit of cable tie and p clip action does not solve

i thought that was cheep, looking on ebay you cant get a pair of decent condition calipers for less than £70, lines are at least £40 and a master cylinder are around £30

I may be able to beat him down to £100 aswell although i dont want to rob him as he is a mate

knock him down to £100 and then you need the forty quid for the brackets...

I got my set up for bugger all - calipers were twenty IIRC, the m/c was a tenner and the lines were new at £40.

Bargain...

I ended up getting my Brembo's, brackets, braided hoses and master-cylinder for not much over £120 so it's not a bad price.

If as Mark says, they are later or radial RR calipers they won't fit (unless you do what Oily did and fit radials that way) If you can throw up a pic of them that'll answer all question (or what year of bike it's from)

A Ducati something. So long as the holes are 65mm apart then brackets will fit then you just space out accordingly.
