http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-vfr400rg-ya- ... partslist/

Read the parts list and use david silvers to get a price.

Thanks, but I've already tried that idea, I email David silver spares and they said that they could help because Honda had discontinued the part I was looking for!

Probably best then to put a wanted ad in the classifieds.

It's not very clear to me what part you're after from your description- just a bolt?

If you put a pic/photo/link up then it would be easier for others to see what part you're after.

I see, well it would help if you wrote that they are discontiniued. Your question sounds like how do I find one as in you don't know the part number, ergo my answer.

As for making one, yes I do know. You would need a lathe capable of screwcutting at the correct pitch for the bolt and turn something down. Not difficult if you know how to do it but since you asked I will assume you don't know.

The later NC21s and NC24s also use a different bolt.

Since your after an obsolete part it is best to search ebay and other places for somebody breaking a bike and ask them if you can buy the bolt.

After putting up an add in the proper section

Ill look in to making one or getting one made as I don't have a lathe, I've posted in the wanted section now and I'm searching high and low for a breaker but no joy yet!

Thanks for you help

Tbird,

I was waiting for you to put an ad up in the wanted section before I posted, but I've literally just sold a LHS hanger and gearlever, among a bunch of other bits, to pilky from here - I've asked him to check if he needs the pivot bolt, and if not, to send it on to you.

I suggest you drop him a PM about it.

Dale
