Anyone ever fit a set of flatsides carbs?
Just curious if anyone has ever fitted a set. I've seen some 32mm FCRs for inline 4's available and am wondering if its possible to machine up and fabricate some parts to make it work on a V4. If so, what type of top end gains would you expect?

Speak to Luke Miller as he has a set. If you do make up the linkages etc I would be up for a set. Luke has the carb rubbers too, he sent me one to get copied

Michael had a set on his insane track bike before switching to EFI: viewtopic.php?f=62&t=4014
They were used on some of the TT-F3 NC30 racers, this is where most of the sets have come from. I have some pics at home that I can put up later.

Gforece racing sold some with the inlet rubbers which they had custom made (hardest part If I remember)
I wouldnt exect top-end gains to be a great deal without some matching engine work, but the direct control of the throttle slide shoudl make the motor more resposnsive if your good with the throttle.

I wouldn't expect much on a stock engine either but mine's going to be worked on by Gforce later on this year. I already have the 57mm pistons.
The HRC ones just seem too hard to get but sets for I4's are available. I was figuring I could draw up a few pieces on a CAD and get them made up. Some detailed pictures of the HRC carbs would help.

On a standard engine I imagine you'd get around 3hp in top end gain - at least that's what was discussed in the nc29 forum at the time. Good gains, the sound alone would be worth it!
Some fairly complicated linkages needed on the v4 though.

-edited for clarity-
what bout FI?
In the case of g-force they ditched their flatslides in favor of FI right?
Since it's already been done, perhaps it won't be much more of a cost to get some FI done, depends on cost of flatslides of course and rubbers, but i'd look into both options.
