They been in the ultrasonic bath for 48 hours and all the petrol ways are still blocked solid figured be easier to get a working set! Bike had been dumped down back of a garage for the last 20 years look here viewtopic.php?f=62&t=34986
I take it your using one of the cheapy halfords / lidl type cleaners? They won't do much.

A professional ultrasonic cleaner should be able to clean your carbs up cheaper than a good set will cost, somethign to look into?

Just looked at the thread, christ that looked mank, ive had bikes like that before, getting them restored takes forever.

I see youve got the frame up nice!

They've got short stacks on them, so I guess the race guys are bidding seeing as they don't usually go for a huge amount, and HRC/replica short stacks cost heaps. I bought a set on eBay a little while ago for £40 which came from a well known source on this forum, and my other spare set cost £25, IIRC.

Am I just looking at the wrong time?

They only have 2 of the front stacks on them - nothing special at all.

You can buy the full HRC replica kit from Rick O for 120 to convert stock RVF carbs to HRC spec.

12 needles (3 full sets)
new emulsion tubes
slide springs
short stacks for the fromt.

Strange you cant get the carbs clean then, have you tried some compressed air through the pilot circuit? Perhaps there has been some water in the carbs and its corrorded them up?

Carbs are clean now, have taken an age in the U/S cleaner. So think I'm winning, carbs had not been drained when bike laid up, we're full of solidified powder/ jelly right mess
