Strange footrest issue

Post by shaneh711 »

Hey guys,
upon riding my NC30 on longer spins; 90miles+, I'm finding that my right leg tends to cramp up a bit,
now I'm not a tall guy by and stretch of the imagination at around 5'7" but it feels like the right hand footpeg is higher than the left side??
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
I've been looking at rearsets online, but being a college student, money is at a premium, and forking out over €200 on a set of adjustable rearsets just isn't an option for me at the moment. Also been looking at the fixed rearsets but most of them seem race orientated with a more aggressive positioning. Anyone got experience of riding the roads with race rearsets?

The NC is a compact bike but the stock rearsets are pretty forgiving, if yours are definatly stock then you might just have to live with it but one side should not be higher than the other, post some pics you may be missing something.

For what its worth i always use race rearsets on the road, no its not the comfiest of bikes but thats how i prefer it so it suits me.

you could easily have bent pegs or hangers... get a pic of each side up.

Rick Oliver does some std position replacement rearsets.

Your legs may be different lengths.

Being a college student, and utterly broke, i have neither a camera nor a phone worth taking pics with... However i have had a gander off it and it would appear that the right hand side footpeg is angled slightly upwards, they are crappy anodised blue footpegs, horrible things, gonna stick the stock ones back on and see if they take care of it :)
Also a firm believer that one leg is longer than the other, maybe its never surfaced because ive yet to come across a more cramped bike :P

Cheers for the response guys :)
