Never been hit with duty but had parcelforce requesting the vat and their handling fee.
Might be ok with other carriers tnt/DHL possibly? Suppose it's down to whatever one the Chinese air freight company appoints for delivery within the UK.

DHL did the whole pay the VAT and try to charge £15 for doing so (and that was about 15 years ago!). However, the bill arrived after the goods, so I sent them a cheque for the VAT and told the to stuff their fee because I'd not asked them to pay it for me. Never got a peep back from them... lol

That's fine if you get the goods delivered first then don't mind coughing up the vat after if needs must.
I may just have been unlucky with my recent experiences being hit twice by parcelforce with their no vat payment and handling charge up front then no goods released scam, might be regional?

Anyone brave enough to order and see if they up to the job and really are a cheaper alternative to the Roose/samco stuff

I may order a set including the rads so why get stung twice. I think it's the same company GPI racing. Two birds one stone and all that. I may not have to pay postage if I can get a deal as rads are free p&p.

So it would cost a£1 more to have the delivered together, than it would having them delivered seperately,
And no chance of best offer. He could reduce the p&p on the hoses.

Well postage is £15 so paying a tenner less and customs will catch you once if you're lucky rather than ordering separate. Jesus only trying lol. I'll let Speedy do the maths and work out customs calculations as he seems to be the expert. Haha.

Sorry not picking on you mate,
Just did some calculations and thought the seller could have done a little better,
I think you'll miss the duty on the hoses,I've bought stuff from china around fiffty quid and no tax.
