Re: New VFR400 NC30 owner questions
Good to hear your experience with powersportsplus Bud977. The fact that they are in the USA and even list NC30 OEM part numbers suggested to me that they would have to be supplying genuine Honda however thought a confirmation e-mail would not hurt.

Re: New VFR400 NC30 owner questions
If you look at the Honda models listed in the "year" section, you won't find a VFR400 as they only list domestic US models. However, if you search in the top search box using the OEM part number (Use the VFR microfiche available on-line) you will be surprised what you may find.
How do I remove the rocker shafts?
The genuine Honda Service Manual says NOT to remove the end plugs, and push the shafts inwards. I couldn't get the shafts to move more than a couple of mm.
The Haynes manual says to remove the end plugs. I tried a 5mm 1/2" drive socket and the cap wouldn't budge.
I'm scratching my head ATM........

To remove the rockers grip the rocker with your hand,Pull on the rocker putting sidethrust on the shaft, then push inwards using the rocker, the shaft will move enough for you to put a small flat blade screwdriver in between the shaft and head,Now release the rocker and take a second grip, again using the same method move the shaft in further until you have enough space to remove the rocker.
