It's Ford Metalic Graphite Grey then covered in high temperature laquer, as near as perfect match to original
Here's one I prepared I earlier

Mines going for a media type blast. Casings all stripped as are the heads. Believe it or not mine are going to get powder coated. Will save myself a few quid as I've got someone to do the blasting as he's red praying the panels also. I'll get them back and do the time consuming bit of masking them up and dropping them to the local powder coaters. Should be a good result. The quote I had from a single bloke doing the lot was £500!!!!

Derek do you remember where you bought the paint from? Also how did you prep the casing for paint? Ive got a mint RVF clutch cover that will obviosly need painting up to match the rest of the 30 engine.

Re: Nc30 engine paint??
Gave the casing quick rub with wet n dry (400 grit I think) thorough de-grease then it was Halfrauds own spray then a few coats of a decent high heat proof laquer.

Re: Nc30 engine paint??
Much apreciated mate, i had a look on RS paints last night and found that under the paints for the RC30 an engine paint is listed http://www.rsbikepaint.com/en-gb/shop-p ... n&22207=on
Im pretty sure that the engine colour on the NC30's bigger brother is exactly the same, however buying that from RS paints would cost £25 just for a 400mil can of paint, thats without including the Etch primer and laquer that they say you would need, needless to say ive gone for the cheaper option to see how that works out.

Looking forward to seeing how the powder coat works out (got a similar idea brewing)
