Anyone ever heard of a Harris Ti full system for an NC30?
I know someone whose just got hold of an NC30 thats a bit tatty at present and apart from possibly having an HRC CDI (this is still tbc), he also says it came with a full Ti system from Harris so a few questions if I may to help him out a bit.
Did Harris ever make full systems for the NC30 and if so did they do Ti as well as s/s systems?
If no to the above and apart from the possibility its another make of Ti system (or unbranded) with a Harris badge, is there a possibility Harris might have made a bespoke system by request for some racer?
re: the CDI, he's called it an "ignition advance control" but is fairly certain its a complete replacement CDI unit and not a M-Max (or similar) additional speed desrestrictor plugin...how would he tell if its an HRC item? Are there any other complete replacement CDI units out there besides the odd chinese ones I've occasionally seen on ebay?
I'm still waiting on him sending me pics but I'm impatient to know cos it does sound like it might well be a very tasty system he's got himself

Mmm, Harris isn't a company I've ever heard of making systems for NC's and certainly not in Ti either. Actually, the only company that I know for sure may Ti pipes for NC's is TSR.
In ref to the CDI, you can get ingition advance CDI's now that are readily available on the market but not HRC items. They might well mimic the HRC item, and if it is an HRC item then it'll be marked accordingly.
Once you get the pics fire them up for a gander, he may well have struck GOLD (I hope he has), or maybe found some hens teeth in some rocking horse poo. I think I remember reading though that the VFR HRC CDI had to plug into the equivelant HRC loom but I may be wrong.

Re: Anyone ever heard of a Harris Ti full system for an NC30?
I would say that it is certainly not an HRC CDI (unless the bike has been NC35 loomed and has an NC35 HRC CDI). As Viper says, there is rumour that they only plug into the HRC loom, but the plugs look the same to me. It's a bit sad that we only have rumours to go on - they're that rare!
Here's a pic of an NC30 HRC CDI:

The different shape and lack of bling (in traditional HRC style) clearly identify it from the norm and aftermarket. Why, oh why do people end their auctions early
As for the Harris exhaust, I dare say it's got a Harris can, but I'm pretty sure Harris never made a full system for the NC30. A custom job would have been astronomically priced! Probably just a Harris titanium can on a system of some description. Don't think they ever made titanium systems for any bikes?

The only HRC thing I can think of that plugs straight onto the loom is the
HRC Derestrictor:

The equivelant of a 5p washer, but because it has HRC stamped on it they fetch nearly £100. Crazy if you ask me.Spike16 wrote:i got one of them, i was told it was a hrc cdi unit aswell but i thought better
