None at all?
I'd be checking the ignition wiring first for any obvious shorts/corroded wires/bodges etc.
Then someone who knows more about electrics would probably be telling you to get a multimeter on it, but I wouldn't know where to start.

It's unlikely that both coil packs have failed at the same time. The bike cranks, so the safety stuff to prevent it starting when in gear or with the stand down aren't causing it. The coils are energised by a circuit that goes from the fusebox, through the starter and stop switches, to the coils and to the ignition. The starter relay is getting thrown, so the fuse hasn't died, and power is getting to the starter switch. The feed for both switches splits inside the switchgear, so there might be an issue between the feed from the kill switch to the coils, or if you are very lucky, maybe the issue is at the point where the switchgear connects to the loom.
I'd get a multimeter out, and check for connectivity between the pin that feeds the start and stop switches, and the pin that feeds the coils. Or see if you can blag a spare set of switches and see if that works....

Take a look at this well posted diagram. At the bottom, just to the left of centre is the starter switchgear. Take a look at where the black wire with the white tracer on it goes. It's by no means certain, but there's a good chance your issue lies with this wire.
I'd also make sure the ignition is plugged in firmly, and the connector hasn't gone nasty after being stored.

thanks for the info. I have checked the gaps on the plugs again they are ok. I get a very small spark hardly anything form one lead at the back right side and a small spark sometimes on the back left. Most of the time ther is no spark on all four plugs. So I have tested the primary resistance of both coils and they atre reading about 4.5 ohms the book says I should get between 2.5 and 3.5 do you think i will need to replace both coils??

I'd be tempted to take the coils off and make sure the mounting brackets haven't corroded, and neither have either of the terminal tags. One of the tags goes to the black and white wire I mentioned before, and the other goes to the ignition. The coils earth through the bracket. I'd clean them up just on the off-chance. Also, while you have the coils off, see if you can trace continuity from the black/white wire for each of them back to the handlebar switch.

Flooded and killed the plugs?
Very easy to do. If the plugs are wet at all this'll be your problem.
Fit new plugs, FULL choke, NO throttle until it catches.

Hope is that simple I have been starting the bike on and off over the last 12 months so thought it would be something simple. What about the odd reading i am getting on the coils 4.5 ohms ish thought it had to be 2.5 3.0 ish. I have not replaced the plugs since i bought the bike would that even mean if i had cleaned and replace the plugs they still would not fire?? Gets frustrating when you sort one thing out then another appears but that also the funn of it.
