Speedo converter
Hi all,
I was anyone uses or has used a speedo converter, the blue type that screws into the instrument panel end.
If so do you still need a clock overlay? I had one on my old cbr6 but cant remember if it had an overlay.
Many thanks

Re: Speedo converter
no you no longer need the overlay. The convertor simply means that your kmph clock now reads in mph. So with the convertor fitted, if it reads 30kmph, your doing 30mph.

It also means you want to record the odometer when you plug the thing in, so you can do the sums on how far the bike has been since if you service it by distance.

Smart thinking, so the odometer will now be recording miles as opposed to kilometers?speedy231278 wrote:It also means you want to record the odometer when you plug the thing in, so you can do the sums on how far the bike has been since if you service it by distance.
The bikes still in bits so the first service will coincide with it hitting the tarmac, well not literally

Re: Speedo converter
good point speedy - yes, it will record in miles with the convertor !
I dont have to worry about service intervals for miles, just dates as i dont do enough miles a year.
