electrical issues
hello all!!!!!!
the problem im having is with the r/h switchgear, but whats got me stumped is when i remove the block connector that the switchgear goes to...(female connector)and bridge for example the two wires that should be for the front brake light switch it works fine, the rear brake light comes on.
but when i bridge the two wires thats for the starter nothing happens, the engine doesnt turn over at all,but if i bridge the starter wire with one of the front brake switch wires then the engine turns over.
im going by the manual as well so thats whats got me very confused.
any ideas,it would be great if someone was able to try this thereselves.
the wires to bridge to put the rear light on is the green/yellow and black/brown and it should be the yellow/red and black for the starter but i can only get the starter to turn when i bridge the yellow/red and black/brown.
bike is nc30

Hi,
Check the obvious things first - have you checked the 10A igniton fuse is intact?
This makes sense if you think about it, black is fused Ignition circuit, black/brown is fused Indicator circuit, which includes brake lights, etc.
Let us know how the fuse is looking?
Thanks.
DISCLAIMER! I'm badly colour blind so I might have the headlight and indicator wiring colors mixed up, but the theory is all the same - basically, the starter live feed, black, has no voltage running through it.

Re: electrical issues
thanks for the reply but i managed to find the culprit this afternoon......and it boils down to my idiotic stupid f%*king self!!!!!!
the other day when i put the lower radiator back on i had to use the igntion 10a fuse to see if the fan was working as i hadnt replaced the fan one and i forgot to put it bk.ASSHOLE!!!!!!!
so after purchsing another r/h switchgear and some splicing and crimping i had a right good look at the nc30 wiring diagram today at work and noticed how the black wire from the starter switch goes all the way to the fuse box and thats when i realised that i hadnt replaced the fuse!!!!!!!
anyway these things happen and i suppose you learn from your mistakes as they say....bit embarrassing but least its solved!!!!
