Nc29 rad fan

Post by 1308lee »

My rad popped last week and it's been temporarily replaced thanks to baz while a new one is on its way from china! But iv noticed it gets REALLY warm ticking over at the lights and my fan doesn't seem to work (I don't know if it did before or not if I'm completely honest) just wanted to know where the fuse is for the fan so I can check that first :) any ideas where it is?

Is the thermostat working?
The one on the rad I gave you looked a bit caked up in crap or did you swap it out for your old one?
The rad had a good water flow through it so I dont think it would be a circulation problem.
If its not the fuse then the only thing I can think of is if the sender/stat is telling the fan to activate when its hot????
Glad to hear your back up and running though!

the pin on the thermostat was bent RIGHT over haha, but nothing a pair of pliers couldnt fix :D

gutted though, connecting all the pipes back up and the overflow(?) just under the cap snapped off :/ so we've botched it back on with some epoxy and its running fine

the fan problems sorted now, was some dodgy wiring so (once again) its botched with a scotch lock, im telling you, my bikes held together with cable ties and gaffa tape
but its my pride and joy so, s'all good :) thanks again for the rad and my new one should be here in a week or 2 hopefully
