Im restoring a RVF atm and im using a VFR wheel 18 Inch. was looking on ebay and saw this.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/380465368355 ... 505wt_1320

Im assuming that would work and fit snug as im trying to fit an 18 Inch wheel. if somone could shout me some advise that would be great

Cheers in advance

I guess it would depend on the mounting points, unless you are prepared to modify the thing to fit. You may find that they are rather different. I would have thought that an NC30 hugger would be closer in fit? The part numbers are one digit different, and it is the last digit, which normally means it has been superceded by a compatible part. Having checked with DSS' website, the chainguard for the NC30 40510-MR8-780 is listed as being superceded by 40510-MR8-781 (NC35), so the mounting points must be the same spacing or the part for the NC35 wouldn't fit, and would have a substantially different end number. If it was modified to suit the 35, the logical part number would be 40510-MR8-900.

However, I guess the VFR750 has a wider rear wheel, which could cause clearance issues, of course. I guess that's why you're looking at the above rather than one for an NC. Best bet would be to find someone who owns the 750 model your rear came from and ask if they'd measure up the mounting hole spacings.....

Sorry, not quite sure where I got the idea you were using the 750 wheel from! Out of curiosity, why fit one to a 35 when supposedly the tyres are hard to come by with much in the way of choice and it'll alter the geometry, never mind play havoc with the speedo?

Just get an NC30 hugger. sorted...

You won't havea 750 18 inch rim on there....if you do, you're the first I have heard of.
