just ran a fivers worth of petrol through the NC to change the sitting fuel in the carbs. the temp gauge is now working!! winner and the tiny coolent leak is next to nothing to worry about.

the fan didnt kick in but it only saw about 95ish on the gauge. do i need to unscrew the green cable attached to the fan its self and frame it to check the fan works?? the connector block that comes from the fan on the left side seems to me like it has something missing from it, like a small flat piece of metal or spade connector should slot into it on the top of the block connector!? i checked an old bottom rad and fan i had and the same thing is on that too..... does anyone know what its for or if im missing something to go here??

WORRY, i think its only fireing on 3 cylinders, the rear right pipe dosnt get as hot as the others after squirting some wd40 on them all this is the only one not to hiss or steam straight away!? also, iv got an auxiliry tank connected and i can literaly see with my eye the level drop QUICK! she is eating fuel!! would this be due the cylinder not fireing??

im going to order up some new plugs and see what happens, but if anyone can shed some light on these problems be grand :)

ps, another thing, is the fairing stay upfront suppose to wobble around like an old fart? mine pinches when screwed up but still wobbles around like mad.

The cylinder not firing shouldnt cause it to eat fuel. dont forget there will be quite a bit of fuel needed to do the intiial fill up of the float bowls / pipes.. after this has settled it should go slowly down.

The fan wont kick in until hotter but to ensure the fan is ok remove the single wire from the fan swtich.. this is on the lower left hand side of the bottom radiator and connect it to earth when the ignition is turned on and the fan shoudl kick in.

*note* this prooves that the fan works, not the switch to put the fan on, these are rare to fail, providing your fan is working, if it isnt on when the needle is just before the red-zone then the switch is suspect.

dont forget to put your fanswitch wire back on after taking it off to test the fan.

nice one ;)

about 3 weeks back i filled the bowls back up after a carb clean and jet swop and ran about a fivers worth through, thought that would have done it tbh....but ill stick some more through and see if it stops drinking mate.

gunna order up some plugs and fingers crossed the other cylinder fires. it does sound as if it fires once im reving it, but when it drops back down to idel it sounds like it cuts out again,it is heating up but not as much as the others, weather its just soaking up the heat from surounding!? god knows. ill be damed if im taking those carbs out again! lol maybe a blocked idel jet in that carb!?

can i still ride it on 3? without damage.... obviously im going to sort it but in mean time if i must i mean.

thanks for the advise Neo

bought some black alcantara too. 25 quid odd for 1 meter2.

might try gluing it direct to the original faux leather... and staple it round the edges. whats a good contact adhisve? the nc gets warm so im worried about the glue going gummy again every time its running, letting the alcantar slid about....be awful.

Saw him a little while ago, your best bet is to email him.
I took an IQ test and the results were negative.
