NC30 wheel

Hi all. Been a while since I've joined in on the forum but have continuously lurked.
I have to bit of a dilemma with regards to the wheel on my NC30. It failed its mot last week for a snatchy brake. I've replaced the discs, replaced the pads, rebled the system, greased up the caliper pistons and master cylinder. But I still get the snatchy brake. Oddly enough, if I run the wheel backwards it's absolutely perfect. Completely smooth braking. What could it be? I'm thinking of running the wheel backwards but have the tyres rotating the right way. Is the 30 wheel completely symmetrical? Are there any issues with running the rim backwards?

PS. My brother passed his test recently and I've passed down the seed 30 as I'm rolling on a daytona now but I miss the 400. Thinking of treating myself to the very nice oki that could be up for sale soon......

Hi vfrman. Yes I have swapped the rotors around. I've also tried a different set of discs. I'm so confused by it.
I ran the bike with only the left side brake on and it was fine. I then tried it with just the right side brake on and the brake was snatchy with both sets of discs and different pads. So I thought if the right hand side of the wheel is at fault, it would still do it if I ran the wheel backwards (this time on the left obviously). I took the wheel off and put it on backwards and much to my surprise, the problem was gone!
I was thinking maybe a buckle but I would have this problem regardless of the wheel direction. New tires got fitted recently and balanced up fine too. The only other thing I can think of is wheel bearings but they got replaced recently as well. Stumped.

Exactly! Would there be any issues in running the rim backwards?

Buckled or bent wheel been considered? Take it and have a look on a balancer, failing that spin the wheel on bike and close an eye and watch as it spins, id take the calipers off so it spins faster and freely.

Had a buckled wheel/alloy on car but thought it was drive shafts spent a fortune to sort it, tried the spare problem solved was a fucked wheel.

Yeah I've checked for that as well by holding a pen near the wheel whilst spinning it and there are areas where it gets closer to the pen. But, if this is the cause of it, shouldn't the problem persist regardless of the direction of the wheel?

there maybe a slight variable with each caliper that when reversed it happens,

its the only viable explanation, borrow a wheel from another NC or the like and try that.

Quick follow up.
It turned out to be a buckled wheel. A little pissed as just had new BT92's fitted and the tyre fitters should've mentioned the buckle. Anyway, new wheel fitted and brakes smoothly now.
