Should I sell her or keep her
Been thinking about selling my NC30 now for a bit but not sure if it's worth what I'd like back for it.
It comes back to the same old it's only worth what some one wants to pay for it.
My bike is in this thread viewtopic.php?f=62&t=28125
Since then it now has ricks HRC carb kit some ti nuts and bolts a Koso digital speedo which keeps the look of the old one, gsxr lightweight flywheel kit, Uprated forks etc and I also have Marcus's dymags which can also go on with it.
What do you guys think?? Was thinking of a figure around £3500 for the lot given the track bike that's just sold on eBay this evening for £3920 is not much different to mine really the item number for that was 271043725243.

£3500 for an NC30?
Is it really more pristine as Kris' examples?

Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

Re: Should I sell her or keep her
Just had a look at the other thread, the bike is awesome! Love the scheme.
If someone will pay it, then its worth it! to me it doesnt look bad for the spec of the bike. I really hope you can sell it as it stands now, as you see way too many bikes like this get broken up.

i thought that too, i was expecting 3500 tops, it didn't do it for me either.
Jamie, yours really is a nice bike. mad if you sell it. but if you do - talk to me
there is not many modded bikes i like, this is one of the better IMO

Re: Should I sell her or keep her
One does want to keep it but I can't afford to buy a second bike at the minute but I do fancy having a go with a 675 or a underseat model zx6r for a change.
Don't get me wrong it's hurting knowing if I go for a change it may well have to go to make way for the new addition.
It is a stunning bike this NC and has some of the better mods which will take some time to list and I now have the Dymags for it too which are going to TCPS this week to be refurbed so really I know I should keep it.

Re: Should I sell her or keep her
i know only too well that the lure of a newer more modern bike is all too appealing, however it will be short lived i bet knowing you.
look how many have gone down that route to only come back to a 400, not everyone granted, but most esp ones with a bit of V4 in their blood and i bet you have RWB blood lol
besides does your brother know you are talking daft ? i am sure he would put you straight.

Re: Should I sell her or keep her
Thing is, even if you get someone like on this eBay auction who has clearly caught shiny bike syndrome, you're not going to get a particularly good return on your investment. This bloke claims to have spent nine grand in parts, all that time and effort, and has got less than four grand back. That's not really a good deal for the seller, IMHO. I'm looking at sorting out my NC35 when I get some redundancy money, and with all the bits I keep eyeing up it would be possible to spend about 6K on bodywork, wheels, suspension and exhaust, and for that I'd probably end up with a bike worth £2.5 to £3K. However, in my case it's a keeper, so I'm not looking to turn it around to get some money. Quite frankly, if you really are wanting to sell a bike that's had lots of money and trick parts lavished on it, you'd probably make more money putting the old bits on where they were simply replaced with something more fancy, and selling the trick bits on their own.

I'm a case in point. I was lured into a Sprint ST1050. Worst move I ever made. Nothing to tinker with, and the bike was a bag of shit
