if you switch from the stock 18" wheel to a 17", get a hold of the RVF400 (NC35) pull-rod (dog bone suspension link).
It's 5mm shorter than the stock part which will give you 15mm more ride height. You'll need this to help correct chasis geometry issue the smaller wheel will create.
You can also have yours welded up and redrilled the 5mm shorter.

It also changes the rising rate of the rear suspension and makes it pleasantly more progressive.

Yep - the bros looks the same as the 650.
Thanks, its the 5 spoked one ive put an offer in for, I did see one that looked like the nc30 wheel, still 17" and 4 nuts but I take it that one dont fit.
You're right, thats a 5.5" wide wheel which is too wide. Theres a bit of demand for them from VFR750 riders who want to change from the wheel you need (5 rounded spokes) to the 8 spoke type.

Cheers,

there is also the NC24 which has a single sided rear wheel with 4 bolts holding it on. this is alot thinner than the NC30 std wheel so not much point in fitting it in my opinion.

Don't forget that you'll need to buy a converted axle to fit the VFR750 5" wide rear wheel - I think thats £125 from Rick Oliver.
Then the chain spacer kit aswell to move the chain over by 5mm to give the necessry clearance too.

It all starts adding up!!
