new fairing "almost" fitting
Hello
Last week, I fitted my new tyga fairing on my NC30.
I started with the bellypan, easy as can be.
then, the top part. Once I put the screws at the bottom, the hole for the mirror are good, but the front screw (just behind the number) is not in place. there is around 1.5/2cm between the hole in the fairing and where it should go.
I'm a bit worried
do I redrill the fairing? dismount everything and restart from the top?any suggestion
thanks

Re: new fairing "almost" fitting
Do you mean the front central hole in the fairing Tom?
It sounds like you might be fitting an rvf fairing to your vfr, the mounting hole is about that far off between the 2 models.
If so you'll have to make some mounting plate up. I used a piece of flat alloy bar drilled a hole tapped it, and attached it to the vfr mount, worked fine. You could also use an rvf clock mount (front subframe) if the fairing is made for an rvf.

Re: new fairing "almost" fitting
we had to make small plates to fit the tyga fairing to my nc30 - stays on ok and better than drilling the fairing!

Re: new fairing "almost" fitting
Are the lower and side brackets in the right places? I'm not sure about the 30, but on my 35 they are fairly easy to bend or knock out of alignment, it could be that the belly isn't sitting right and the nose isn't aligning correctly as a result....
