NC30 super loud Arrow exhaust
Hey guys,
My NC30 has an Arrow exhaust that must be a race can because it's super loud. My ears hurt just having it idle in the garage. Does anyone know if it's possible to find inserts or whatever to quiet it down to something that will leave my hearing intact (and the cops in peace)? Or alternatively, if I can pull the can off and mount a less loud one?

Pics might help as you dont mention weathers its a standard system with end can, half system, full system, how does the can attach to the system??????
If its really that loud it probably needs repacking but DB killers are available to keep the noise down a bit.

I don't really know which parts are original, but the can looks like this:

I haven't taken it off, but it seems to be just slipped on the pipe and looks like it's totally empty inside.

Its not a standard system, possibly yamamoto but hard to tell from that pic. Not sure on the can but id say thats just a arrow badge on a random can. Does it leak where it slips onto the system? Its usual to have a clamp or springs to secure it to the system.
Your options are,
Replace the can.
Fit a DB killer to the can. Might not make much difference if the packing inside is shot.
Drill the rivets to remove a end cap and replace the packing, and fit a DB killer if its still too loud.

Re: NC30 super loud Arrow exhaust
It's apparently a very early generation Tyga fiberglass fairing. It's OK except the paint job (which was apparently done by them, too) is cracking and peeling off in some places and the headlight is just mounted to the fairing with a single bolt so is not secure at all.porndoguk wrote:what farings has matey boy got?
I'm not sold on the look so I'm thinking of getting rid of it and getting stock-looking ebay farirings, but I'd need to repaint the tank and the Red Bull paint job is pretty cool.

Re: NC30 super loud Arrow exhaust
Why not just buy a TYGA stock shape upper and have it painted in red bull colours
