Stomp Grip or Similar Product - RVF400

Post by silentRVF »

I've got a small black mark and a tiny dent on the RHS of my tank - the black mark is very small, and you can only see the dent if you look at an angle. But it still annoys me and I'd like to cover it up.

I was thinking of maybe getting a Stomp Universal clear tank grip set? (It seems they make a bike specific one for the CBR250 but not RVF).

I've also seen a similar product which is a nice carbon lookalike on a new VFR1200 which said Honda Racing. or HRC or something. There's also some from TechSpec which are similar. But I don't think the black/carbon would look as good on the white tank?

Any suggestions? I'm leaning towards just the plain clear Stomp one.

Cheers

I use this on my NC, it's great, stops me from sliding into my tank every time I hit the front brakes and really is clear/see-through!

Haha, I'm probably copying exactly what stomp say, but it isn't a sticker. You have to use a heatgun and stuff, sticks like hell if you get it right.

Plus it's £40 or potentially damaged swimmers, at least that's how I thought about it.....

Wouldnt one of those things you put in the bottom of the shower to stand on work just as well? Could cut that into shape and remove it without damaging your paint too! Never really looked at stomp grip up close but it allways reminds me of one of those shower mat things :P
