Chinese radiators, too good to be true?!

These Chinese rads I keep seeing on eBay for cheap cheap prices, are they any good? The sellers have good feedback and the picture look good but had anyone here taken the plunge and bought one??

ive just finished putting them on now, with all new silicone hoses, so once i get these bloody carbies reseated i will start her up and let you know how many leaks they have got!

Ah wicked!! I'd be very interested to know how you get on. Does the quality seem good so far? Standard ones seem to go for as much as £400 so these will be am absolute bargin. I guess with PayPal you can't go wrong, if try leak dispute it as they are clearly not fit for purpose.

My bike (nc30) seems to be running hot despite me flushing the system, checking the water pump (good) and removing the thermostat. I'm guessing the rads are knackered!

yeah mate i will let you know, they seem quite good actually, but cant tell yet, i have a small electrical issue i have to deal with before she will start...

I have a set of Geoff's chinese ones fitted to mine and they are very good however some of the random chinese manufacturers selling them on ebay arent as good and they dont allways fit correctly. I think Geoff contacted one of the manufacturers and gave them measurements so they where all correct, not sure if he has any for sale atm though.

Not necessarily. When the engine is warm, can you squeeze the coolant pipes as normal? If they feel hard, the system is over-pressurising and it could be the first signs of head gasket failure.

Not that I've noticed they are firm but not solid and the expansion bottle doesn't bubble like mad or fill up too much.

The bike looks like its been dropped on one side and the top rad took some of the impact as the end is bent down a bit. It doesn't leak but I expect the water flow is restricted
