cbr400rr nc29 problem (HELP PLEASE)

while driving the bike today was running beautifully not a problem after turning the bike off leaving it for a while then following my friend in his car at 30 mph every were i would say for 30 to 45 min going down a hill the bike decided to stop firing and just die so restarted it started up fine again thought nothing of it drove it again for say another half hour fine nothing wrong with it turn it off again for 20 mins jumped back on drove it literally down the road then died keeped turning it over got the odd rumble from trying to fire it up but wouldn't start pulled choke out started the bike went straight to 3k rpm if trying to ease the throttle on it wouldn't rev so turned the choke off it sat at 1k which it should be sitting at 1300-1400k rpm so turned the idle up tryed reving it wouldn't respond to throttle at all even very lightly would just die so had a quick fag tried again thing started and throttled correctly so as i drove off i hit the limiter and never had a problem on the journey home until i literally got home i noticed the rpm had changed again to 1k and the bike died again so started it and got home just wondering if any one could know what the hell is wrong with it the battery with the lights on (i am running a 35w hid kit) as it was night was sitting at 11.5v when at 3k rpm the volts went up to 12.9v yet again wit lights on just to point out the bike has not been sitting around also it defiantly had fuel in it was 3 pound off a full tank as i filled it up after i got it running thinking it could of been dodgy fuel i havent had a look at the bike as it 3:53 so if any one can give me any tests to do or any info please feel free to thanks
